You
have found the greatest source for the
best synthetic oil for your
Kia Sorento
The
same synthetic
motor oil that 85% of NASCAR owners put in to
protect their expensive engines when racing on the track.
If you want the absolute best oil, 2nd to none, then
Amsoil synthetic is what all Sorento owners should be
putting in their cars. Click the Testimonies
link above and read about why so many race
car drivers, police
departments and trucking
companies are using Amsoil and see the proof of why
there is no better oil, despite all of the claims that
other competing oil manufacturers make and often get sued
over. 30 years and millions of miles of solid proof that
Amsoil is #1 and FIRST IN SYNTHETICS. This is my actual
2003 Kia Sorento that I bought in December of 2002. I
put nothing but Amsoil
0W30 oil in this beautiful machine. Haven't needed
an oil change in over 10,000 miles and the oil still looks
great! Oil and filter information for the 2003 Kia Sorento. That shows the mani stuff you can order right away.

web site thoroughly. After seeing the extensive
tests using taxi cabs that was performed comparing
conventional oil (what the majority of the world
uses) vs. Amsoil, you COULD NOT PAY ME to put that
conventional oil in any of my cars ever again.

I
just put in the Amsoil synthetic ATF. With my own
personal experience with this, it has worked miracles
in other vehicles when I replaced my Dexron III
with the same transmission fluid you see in the
pictures. This only took a few minutes to change
using the green vacuum. Although this does work, I would not recommended changing the ATF this way. You should find a shop that has a transmission flushing machine and then bring the AMSOIL ATF with you to have it put in. AMSOIL ATF is only compatible with certain year vehicles. AMSOIL ATF will not work in the 2005 or newer Sorento's as they have since changed to a 5-speed automatic and have a different fluid specification that is different from what most transmissions use.
I just put the tube in and pumped the vacuum a
few times and the oil was sucked out in a few minutes.
NO MESS! If you want one of these cool tools, you can get one here cheap!
I added about 4 quarts of the bunch that you see
sitting on top of of my engine. I ordered extra
to keep on hand. I use this same transmission fluid
in all of the vehicles here.

When
I put in the transmission fluid and motor oil, I
wanted to be 100% synthetic all the way, so I decided
it was also time to replace the cheap factory differential
fluid with the good 75W90 racing fluid.
I used the same suction device that I removed the
motor oil with in order to remove most all of the
fluid out of the rearend differential as you can
see here on the right.
The
Sorento sports a 2.8:1 rearend
gear. After driving the vehicle for a very short
time, I noticed that the rearend gets very hot
to the touch. BELIEVE ME, USE QUALITY SYNTHETIC
OIL! Using all of the oils on this page will make
your Sorento a MUCH more reliable vehicle.
When I decided to remove the plug
(which has a magnet built on the tip), I found
it to be CAKED with sludge (almost like thick
mud) and metal pieces. Look how much nasty stuff
came off and my Sorento only having 13,500 miles
on it when I wiped off this plug! Trust me - CHANGE
THIS FLUID if you want your gears to last a long
time. That's the reason they have removable bolts
as this is a servicable part requiring maintenance.
Lots of people never change the fluid and then
wonder why they hear a loud whinning come from
the back of their vehicle after they put a lot
of miles. Use this Amsoil
synthetic 75W90 gear lube and it will work
wonders. NO additive necessary!
Amsoil
SVG 75W-90 gear lube
highly recommended for your Sorento (for 2003-2004 models only. 2005+ models use special blend provided by Kia only.)
and lasts the life of the vehicle! Fill
